Bronze and Stainless Steel Gothic cutlery- design and manufacture
I was bored with any cutlery available so I decided to make my own and sell a few tables worth too. After designing them I had them cast using a high tech lost-wax ceramic shell casting technique. These images show the cutlery as it was just cast and in a rough condition prior to polishing.
The blue cutlery are plastic which I made from my drawings. These were used to create the molds which I made and used to cast lost wax into ready for the foundry.
One of the nice things about being you own creative- is that you do not have to stick to the rules. And so I married my all metal creations to those with dishwasher proof resin handles. These allowed me to supply bespoke sets in any colour and with varying amounts of clarity even- if required. I am proud to say that my limited run of these items found them selves on the finest dining tables of appreciative customers internationally
